  • I yam what I yam...

    Two things:

On Saturday, I made PW's sweet potato casserole and I am the ONLY one in the house who will eat it.  Last night, I finally finished it off (whew!).

I will let you all know if I turn orange.

And, a cute story about Lion (age 3):

I took a small break in cooking a few nights ago and while we were shopping at Sam's Club, we sat down to eat a pizza.  I was using a plastic fork to cut little pieces of pizza for Pilot and I accidentally dropped the fork.  My helpful little Lion picked it up for me (not knowing that it was now *trash*, LOL) and exclaimed, "A dinglehopper!" (Little Mermaid?!).  We were all kind of stunned, then we all laughed.  It was so funny~but, maybe you had to be there...

  • That's cute, and kudos to you for your boys knowing what the little mermaid is! lol We haven't watched that one around here.

I made the pioneer woman's sweet potato casserole at thanksgiving and I was the only one who would eat it here too. I ate a LOT of it. lol

  • I bought the video for the Little Mermaid when I was in college, LOL!  When it came out on DVD last year, I just had to get it again...they just recently started watching it.  Do your boys watch a movie over, and over, and over?!  Mine do--then memorize everything.  Lion is a little mimic and quotes movies constantly, LOL.  Another of their favorites right now is the Little Rascals (came out in the 80's)--he can do a whole, "Dear Darla" monologue!  It's so funny!

I am actually waiting for my DVD of The Christmas Story to arrive in the mail today...and then, I'll be watching that one over, and over, and over!  LOL  ;)

  • Oh my husband loves sweet potatoes. He would have helped you finish it! lol

A dinglehopper??? I don't even know what that is and I still think it's funny! (never saw that movie) Kids say the cutest things.
