  • Sometimes I'm a poet...

Oh, vinegar, vinegar, my sour little friend

I love the way you clean for me; for the chores you gently tend!

I poured you in my teapot last night and turned the heat on high

As you toiled and boiled in my copper pot, I gave a thankful sigh.

"Mom, what's that smell?!" *cough* *gag* "My eyes are starting to water!"

(Our little guys do not realize that any drama will become my blog fodder!)

And then, dear vinegar, you soon dwindled and my teapot was bright and clean

I happily rinsed my pot and prepared a spot of tea~ named for Catherine the Queen!

  • I really love my vinegar and your poem was just as lovely.  Does vinegar stink?  Really?  I use it as a cleaner, and as a fabric softener.  I even use it as a hair rinse.  Yes, it does smell, okay, okay.

  • I don't notice the smell because I love the work it does, LOL! (And, the smell goes away so quickly!)  But, my family sure notices!!

    Thank you!

  • **Teehee!!** I don't care who ya are, that there was funny!

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner, and really doen't leave a smell AFTERWARDS!

  • I do a good bit of cleaning with vinegar as well! I can stink, but I try to ignore that! LOL

  • The smell is the only reason I don't clean with vinegar. I'm a wimp. lol

  • CUTE poem!!! I use vinegar for cleaning as well - but not as much as I could, or probably should.  :sigh:

    Blessings,
