  • One more quickie post/question tonight...

    200

Years ago on Oprah, a skin care *expert* said that this L'Oreal toner was equivalent to Clinique's toner, at a fraction of the price.  I am currently using Philosophy cleanser and moisturizer, but would like to change to something a little more economical...do any of you have any suggestions?  I appreciate all input!  Thanks!

  • I love Mary Kay products, but I'm not sure if they make a toner anymore. I use their TimeWise cleanser and moisturizer

  • I think we already talked about this but I love the Elizabeth Arden (2 in one cleanser/toner, it's in a mint green tube)  and it smells SO good.  I can get it for $13 at the PX or $16 at Dillards.

  • I use witch hazel. I find it the best and cheapest! (I used to be a hairstylist so I've tried TONS of hair and skin products FWIW)

  • oh and I forgot to say I have VERY sensitive skin (but and oil T zone) and the witch hazel is the most non irritating as it doesn't have lots of stuff added.

  • Hey so this is WAY off topic lol but did you ever get the boys hair cuts? I was looking at styles for Sister today and found this site - I could SOOOOOOO see you getting your boys hair cut at a place like this - it says Mrs. KITKAT all over it!!! http://coolcuts4kids.wavetwo.com/SplashPage/tabid/54/Default.aspx check their locations perhaps there will be one near your new home (if you ever move) lol

  • I love LOVE washing my face with Oil of Olay. I don't use a toner. I should I know!

  • Thanks, everyone!  I am going to experiment with your suggestions and see what I like!!  And, I forgot about witch hazel--very economical!

Jena--there are several of those shops in the Houston area--I'll have to try one!  What a great idea!

    :) Thanks again,

  • I don't use toner. It does NOT help my skin at all. I use the mary kay formula 2 cleanser, and the mary kay timewise moisturizer. I tried that combo on accident and it works really well for me. But to combine two things other people said, (lol) I used to use an oil of olay cleanser that had witch hazel in it and it worked really well also. I just switched to the MK because I was selling it there for awhile and had a bunch of it.

  • Also, I don't use foundation. Just some loose powder. My skin feels so much better that way.

  • Fraction of the cost and also the best moisturizer out there.... Aloe Vera! (you use it on your sun burn typically because it moisturizes and it also is totally natural.) It is also a healing agent so it is good for acne and doesn't clog up your pores. Perfect for sensative skin.  However, I am stumped on the a cleanser too!
