  • Decluttering and Packing

    I am now on a strict schedule to get everything in our house packed.  Since laundry is always a lengthy task in our house, I am tackling it first.  I have been storing the majority of our clothes in large duffel bags and I need to add to them and also add a few things to the clothes we have in circulation. 

    My buffet, cabinets, and some closets were full of crystal (I used to sell crystal) and I was feeling burned out on packing crystal, but I cleaned out the bottom of my china hutch and will be bubble-wrapping and boxing all of that today. 

    At some point today, our new dishwasher will be delivered and one child has a doctor appointment...many things to do today!

  • I know it seems dauting, but it will get done and then you will feel great about everything.  Laundry is the worst around here too.  I have about 6 loads to wash at this point and my goal for today, along w/ school, a drs appt and having to run the boys this afternoon is to get it at least started.

    What I hate is when you are in the middle of Laundry that you had no choice to do because your child got sick the day before you are to move out of your old home. Our Clothes were taken out of the washer and then thrown into Garbage bags and we did not find the garbage bags to almost two month later and they had all mold and mildew on them. I had to throw away some of our most enjoyed clothes that we wore and new clothes as well.
    Our clothes were in a Storage place for a little over a month and We went searching weekly for these clothes so we could wash them again. We still did not find the clothes till we moved into our new home.
