At the risk of being the flakiest blonde ever...
(flakiest wife, flakiest daughter...), I have completely pulled out of the move-to-the-renthouse-plan.
It is all just too much. If things were smoothly falling into place, it would be different. But trying to paint and get the flooring in by our deadline, and also trying to pack and complete the finishing touches on our house simultaneously is just not working out.
I realized that I could pack this house up and put almost everything in storage, live with the essentials, and save time, effort, and money.
This is not the ideal living situation, but I think we can tough it out for a few more months. Once dh and I get everything to storage, I will take the boys and go stay with him for a few weeks or something...
But, yeah...I feel like a flake...

No, no, I do not even start thinking that you may be the "flakiest blonde"! You felt 'enough is enough' and draw a line at how much pressure you can take on top of everything. I'm like that once in a while and I'm NOT a blonde! I do encourage you to try see how much you can get done anyway without loosing too much of your sanity. Such as, get painting done later next month instead. Or even later.
your not flaky mama (hugs) you have just reached your limit. it's a great thing you can step back and realize that. (even if you think you are flaky!)

Just so you know. We have lived with the bare minimum several times. In korea I hardly had anything at all. And before we bought this house we thought about keeping our stuff in storage and living in an RV. Home is where your family is and "Things" arent' important!
You aren't under some huge deadline (other than the one you gave yourself) so you just need to relax a bit. We are super Moms but we aren't crazy!! You are, however, a really sweet blonde!!
I think this is a very smart decision. I'm just surprised I didn't think of it first ;^) I think you are amazing for all that you do! And noone thinks you are "flaky"!! Now, you need to stop worrying about all of this and enjoy your dh being home for a few days! And don't forget that tomorrow is Mother's Day...and you are one heck of a mother :wink-wink:
I hate to disagree with everyone.... but your a TOTAL flake!! :ROTFL::ROTFL: (but at least your sister-in-laws from HELL arn't visiting, oh please pray for me, well no maybe you should pray for them) :steamed::steamed:
