• My husband and I celebrated our seventh anniversary on Saturday (yesterday was our actual anniversary), spending the day together.  It was so nice.  My mom watched our boys while we went out to eat, shopped a little, then had dessert at a fondue restaurant.  We are already planning to take the boys to the Melting Pot in December for the full meal--it was fun!

  My mom turned 60 last Monday and we had a little party for her at her favorite Mexican restaurant.  My sister and I kind of threw this party together at the last minute, and almost everyone we called came!  I was surprised--I told my mom and sister that we need to do things "last minute" more often, as more people showed up than I have had at activities that are well-planned in advance!  My best friend, who shares the same birthday as my mom, says that it is because people don't have time to dread the event, LOL!

  I was trying to think of a good caption for this picture, and finally found an old movie advertisement (1956) for "Blonde Bait" that was too perfect!  Everyone had a good laugh--they would have LOVED the picture of my mom in her homemade swimsuit...maybe next year, LOL!
