Thank you!! I received the apple crisp candles (one of my favorite scents!!) and candle holder today along with your sweet note! I was just chatting with another friend about apple orchards~we have peach orchards and strawberry patches nearby, but no apple orchards that I know of~I'd love to find one!

Today, while at the store (and completely out of the blue!), my 13-year old picked up a 50th birthday card and said, "Look, Mom, in fifteen years, I'll buy a card like this for you!" I had to do the math--it just didn't seem right!!! (and, technically, it'd be in fourteen years~I'll be 36 in December--but I comfort myself with the knowledge that my sister will always be ahead of me, LOL--kiss, kiss, I love you Elizabeth!).
Please pray for our family friend, Vince. I just received an e-mail that he's not doing well...he has had benign tumors removed from the base of his skull (one on the pituitary gland) and he's in need of radiation therapy, but they are not sure if he can withstand it. If this is all vague, I apologize--I don't have many details right now. Please pray for Vince in south Texas, husband to Leslie and father to three sweet little girls.

We went out of town for most of last week. Our boys had some more beach fun (of course, I heard that the bacteria causing the flesh-eating virus is along the entire Gulf Coast AFTER all my babies played in the water!! wau-wau-wau! **Debbie Downer**) My niece gave me disks with the beach pictures that she took earlier in the summer~somehow, they have disappeared! I cannot find them--I had them between the two front seats of our van, but they aren't there... wau-wau-wau
While we were out of town, my dh was involved in a little fender-bender~he was rear-ended while at a stop light. wau-wau-wau He's okay! He took the van in this morning and came back with a rental~I haven't even been outside to see it yet, LOL!
**Debbie Downer is a character on Saturday Night Live~some of you might be acquainted with her, LOL!
